If the original Outlast was a game that required you to take your time and hide away from the horrors within, the Whistleblower DLC throws that out the window and offers a fucking awesome and wild ride. Whistleblower fills in some gaps in the original game's story in really cool ways. I won't give the plot away but holy shit if you even have an inkling of investment in the original game, it's a genuine thrill to play through and see how these two connect. The core gameplay is the same but this one almost entirely loses the stealth in favour for some really absolutely fucking cool in your face sequences. The Groom sequence in particular was an absolute wild ride that left me horrified and just in awe for how damn good this little piece of DLC is. The few stealth sequences it does have are also creepy as fuck and are some of the most tense feelings I've had playing a game before. I enjoyed the original game and admittedly didn't have high expectations going into this one but man this is my favourite thing to come out of the whole Outlast franchise. It's scary, fun as hell and just an absolute blast. Nitpicks aside, I highly recommend giving this a look (once you've played the original obviously lol)
