2.5/5 ★ – Aevari's review of People Playground.
It's alright. Pretty fun for the first while, but you very quickly run out of things to do, I feel like. A lot of the controls and such reminded me of Gmod, but I almost wonder if you would have more fun in Gmod. I mean, the humans in this game are very well done in terms of physics and decaying and such, and very often gives me Happy Wheels vibes. But the way that you have to manipulate things and such just feels so time consuming and needlessly convoluted. Equipping humans with guns, for example. There's no button for "equip" and you can't hover it over them and it teleports in their hand or anything. You have to manually move them and place the gun in the proper position in their hand, and even when you've done that, you have to hover over the gun to make them fire it if you don't want to go through some complicated setup activation system.
In a technical sense, there's a lot that you can do, but it's difficult to work up the motivation to do it, because of how much work it is. And even once you've done all that work, I don't know if the payoff is all that satisfying. I'm hesitant about this game to say the least; I just feel like it's too flawed for me to actually enjoy that much.
