4/5 ★ – AlNyman's review of Yakuza Kiwami 2.

Yes, Yakuza brings me fun once more. The combat is simpler than Kiwami, but now you can throw a person and watch their ragdoll body fly into a convenience store window, cracking the storefront and most likely their bones. The story is once again fun and intriguing, balancing the fine line between incomprehensible and perfectly understandable. Some characters return, which is fun, and a ton of new characters show up. They're all interesting, too, of course, since they all seem to have been written by sixteen insane people and their one sober secretary. Every time I realize a fight is about to start (which is pretty much every moment of the game), I actually get sort of excited. Fighting is fun, but I now realize the moments in between, where you buy cookies for an old lady, for example, that make the fighting a hundred times more effective. It's good.
