“I have hope.” An absolute must play epilogue to God Of War Ragnarok and a love letter to the franchise’s long history. I absolutely did not expect nearly as much depth here from a free DLC, I was very much under the impression this would be a mindless roguelike with a very light story only to give reason on why you’re here participating in this new game mode. But Santa Monica, the studio they are, really knocked this out of the park and at times the idea of this being a free add on is just genuinely mind blowing to me. The gameplay loop is addicting, the challenges you can participate in are rewarding, the boss fights are amazing as usual, and the deep character study on display of Kratos this work of downloadable content really focuses on is absolutely fantastic, AND THAT MUISC, The score here is absolutely unbelievable. Kratos and Mimir are one of the greatest duos in all of gaming, and every small interaction with them here is enough to make this worth playing. I adore this franchise so much and I can’t wait to play this over and over again.
