Not sure why this site only has this game at a 3.96. I loved it. The animated cutscenes are beautiful, Wario is hilarious with his goofy, greedy self, the platforming and missions are incredibly fun to find. The missions are also completely optional. You can still see everything the game has to offer even if you choose not to do these missions or collect the treasures, which is a great design choice. I went after everything and it took days because the missions are tough, but it does feel good to see all the sparkling treasures you got. and these missions still really fun to do regardless (minus the few frustrating parts). The game doesn’t overstay its welcome, and it’s just a joy to play. I haven’t played the other Wario land games at the time of writing this but if they’re anything like this then I’m in for some good times. My only real complaint are the motion controls; they work fine but sometimes the shake doesn’t register and you have to do it again. It might just be my Wii remote since it is 15 years old at this point, but it’s just a minor thing.
