What’s there in Resident Evil 3 is great, which is why I was disappointed after its short story. The characters and plot are exciting, and feel like I’m watching a good 90’s action movie. The survival horror gameplay is as great as it was in RE2, with the inclusion of a roll move for Jill. The game is incredibly short though, shorter than usual for a Resident Evil game. RE3 lacks replay-ability outside the unlock shop. Nemesis is also not nearly as intimidating as promised, as he only appears in scripted moments through the game. While Resident Evil 2 felt like a passion project for Capcom, Resident Evil 3 felt like it was done out of necessity.
