5/5 ★ – AugustAlces's review of Torchlight II.
It took me ~18 hours to beat on normal mode, which I appreciate in a time where many games can be 80 hours or more.
Four classes didn’t seem like a lot at first, but each class has three trees of customization options that make it feel like more than four classes. (At least, I’m pretty sure each class has three trees)
I played as an Engineer (melee class with DPS and tank options) and mostly focused on blitz skills and the healing bot.
The world has a different lore than a lot of RPGs. It didn’t follow all of the tropes. You know? For example, I was stoked on the frog and roach mages. Does this imply that communities of sentient roaches and frogs dwell somewhere in the world? And also they’re jerks and keep blasting me with acid and poison magic?
There appears to be quite a lot to do after beating the game and new game+ is also an option.
Anyway, I had a lot of fun. The graphics and stuff were cute too.
Good game.
