4/5 ★ – AzulAzuril's review of Kingdom Hearts: 0.2 Birth by Sleep - A Fragmentary Passage.

This game functions more as a prologue or tech demo for Kingdom Hearts 3, but I still think it’s a great entry in the series. Playing as Aqua as she explores the Realm of Darkness makes for a fun adventure, and I love how the game is very focused on platforming and exploration. Each of the subareas really offer a different experience, from the maze-like setting of Snow White’s mirrors to the more exploration of Cinderella’s Castle Town. Aqua feels great to control, and combat feels so smooth with your ability to interweave magic and physical hits. Graphically, the game is absolutely stunning, and there’s multiple locations that left me jaw dropped. Character models and textures are all high quality, the voice acting is great, and I love the music tracks. Story wise, not much happens, but that should be expected for a brief interlude game. The game is incredibly short, and there’s not the most variety in bosses or enemies. 0.2, while brief, still manages to be a memorable entry in the franchise.
