2.5/5 ★ – AzulAzuril's review of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games.
This game was a great showcase of many of the motion features of the Wii when the idea of motion controls was still new. Conceptually this game is weird (Mario and Sonic cross over, but during the 2008 Beijing Olympics??) but I found it was fun when I was younger. However, because the game is essentially just a series of minigames, there is very little staying power in this crossover. Without much of a single player campaign or any particularly compelling reason to play on your own, there’s not much reason to continue playing. The Dream events are fun “video gamey” ways to spice up the formula, but outside of the initial novelty of this release, I don’t think there’s much reason to keep going back to it.
