0.5/5 ★ – BIBZ's review of The Last of Us Part II.

I was a huge Last of Us Part II defender when it was initially released before I had a chance to play it. I thought the story of the first one was brilliant, even if the gameplay was the standard Naughty Dog affair with some stealth and crafting into the mix. Unfortunately after playing, I changed my mind completely, this has to be the biggest nothing-burger from a video game in my lifetime. What made the initial story so compelling was the story of Joel and his surrogate daughter. To see Naughty Dog fumble the ball so hard by killing him off in the first fifth of the game. And then have the audacity to make us play as Abby, a character with the chemistry of a dull fork. On top of all that, the game drags, my lord it drags and the pacing is all over the place. The overall theme about the cycle of revenge is great in concept and could have been great in a Last of Us game. But this was completely mismanaged and such a disappointment compared to everything in Naughty Dogs' back catalogue
