3/5 ★ – BIRYANIMAN's review of Super Mario 3D All-Stars.

Disclaimer: I am reviewing the collection and not the games in the collection. 3D All-Stars had wasted potential, but it's still a compilation of great games. The changes were minor and lazy. Super Mario 64:- The game runs at 970p 30FPS on 4:3 ratio. They updated like 8 textures out of the entire game. Not to mention that this is using the Shindou Version which removes the BLJ glitch everyone enjoyed. Super Mario Sunshine:- The game runs at 1080p 30FPS on 16:9. It is very nice to play this game at full HD and Widescreen for the first time. A GameCube controller support was added with analog triggers so you can play the game traditionally. One thing that annoyed me is that the frame drop you experienced in the GameCube are still present cause the framerate is unchanged. This is present when you burst water in Shadow Mario chase. Super Mario Galaxy:- The game runs at 1080p 60FPS on 16:9. This is the best upgrade in the collection. You can now play with a traditional controller and you can press Y to spin. The pointing still requires motion control but that is fine since you will need high precision. And for handheld mode the pointer will be touch based. There is also a soundtrack mode where you can use your switch as an iPod but you can do that on your phone now. Overall this collection is fun but could have been more. The modding community did much more than Nintendo did. The biggest reason to get this is if you want to play those games on the go. Also why isnt Galaxy 2 here? It feels missing.
