4.5/5 ★ – Batman_Beware's review of Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition.

One of the more underrated crime games in my opinion, Sleeping Dogs is such a blast to play. It's one of the few games that cashed in on the success of Rocksteady's genre defining Freeflow Combat system and managed to add its own twist to it with grappling enemies and environmental takedowns before Arkham Knight did in 2015. The story is extremely compelling and brings you to the edge of your seat more times than you can count. It's a real shame United Front went bankrupt after they released this Remaster because Triad Wars and a true Sleeping Dogs 2 (which were both in development) could've been really special too. My only real gripes with the game are the gunplay feels a little outdated, think like Uncharted 1-3 in terms of mechanics. The camera when driving at times can be restricted when you're backing up or just starting to drive after getting in. Other than that I have no complaints about the game.
