2/5 ★ – Batman_Beware's review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

This game had a lot of potential in concept: a 4 player co-op level based TMNT game with Arkham like freeflow combat. But unfortunately it just doesn’t hit on what it set out to do. The combat is too sluggish and inconsistent to even be uttered in the same breath as Arkham. They clearly were going for that type of combat but it’s near impossible to get a combo going because they don’t move freely like intended. Sometimes they’ll just attack the air instead of the enemy right in front of them. The stealth is about as bare bones as you can possibly get with only one type of takedown, usually to initiate a combat sequence. The acting is pretty ok for the most part but some of the voices are a little off but nothing terrible or anything. So overall it’s a pretty disappointing game that could’ve been much better if executed properly.
