Bazoinkerz's review of Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered.

I'm not going to rate this game with stars, since I already finished the original PS4 version. I don't think the improvements made here are worthwhile enough to purchase the $70 'ultimate edition' of Spider-Man Miles Morales on PS5. This re-release is purely an aesthetic re-work. Though the loading times are impressive, the lighting tweaks and ray tracing additions are great, it doesn't help the lack of cohesive side content such as MJ and Miles missions, or Peter Parker's "puzzles". The occasional boring mission design is still on display here. Playing this game again though, I began to notice there is a lot of what could only be described as "open world guff." What I mean is, I'm not totally sure whether or not Taskmaster's challenges were necessary (especially with such a lackluster conclusion) or the sheer amount of Black Cat's stakeouts, Harry Osborn's research stations, and such. Stuff could have been trimmed and not much would be lost. Ultimately, I have been granted the ability to re-review this game from my original playthrough way back in 2018 and I'm grateful for that. I believe the strongest aspects of the game had peaked back about halfway through the experience, but the combat, story, and visuals lend itself to be a strong first outing in Insomniac Games's Spider-Man series. edit: Peter's face is weird change it back
