3.5/5 ★ – Bo_Po's review of Solar Ash.

Solar Ash’s Voidrunners showcase an impressive variety of voiceover performances, with narration sounding remarkably worried, frightened, and inquisitive. The game’s world employs impressive scale while offering fast locomotion and efficient traversal. Climbing the iconic Remnants is exhilarating, especially when you find the groove of skating, hitting rods, and using the time slip ability at the right moments. When combat doesn’t flow in your favor, Rei’s movement can become erratic and uncontrollable, and it doesn’t help that the camera direction has an odd influence on her gravity. Some other parts feel underdeveloped, like the unexciting currency system and frequently skippable enemy encounters, but this is still an impressive 3D foray from Heart Machine, whose games always promise to stretch beyond previous boundaries. 7.5/10
