4.5/5 ★ – BobBichn66's review of NieR: Automata - Game of the YoRHa Edition.

This game...was really good. As I rolled the 4th and final credits I wasn't sure if it was me or if the story maybe didn't click...I then remembered I had already been told the major revelations about the story. But when I take a step back after experiencing it myself and truly think of what this game meant: Life, what "living" is really about, what "free will" truly means, and how it's easy to not loathe Death as the only constant and never ending cycle that's humans curse. I realize that these thought-provoking questions have never been asked of me as a player in such a way. Like a bystander with eyes into multiple groups of people with different thoughts, ideas, and ideals, it's a game that gives thought-provoking philosophical questions, and as the credits roll you're just left to process what you witnessed and rationalize it in your own way cause you didn't only see 1 perspective on these questions, you saw multiple creating more conveyance between the themes presented. Glory to mankind, cause we all need a reason to fight for something + Slick Platinum Games Combat + THAT MUSIC MY GOD + Thought-provoking story in such a small package _____ - A whole lot of brown, even for a post-apocalypse - Some moments of Japanese-trope charm don't quite hit the way they're intended but a small nitpick
