I played this when I was a little kid and was so upset that the designs of everything had changed. I viewed it as not an authentic DOOM experience. Upon playing through it 20 some odd years later I realized that it was the original DOOM 3, continuing the story of the first two games and that it had help from the id Software legend John Carmack himself. Everything you love about DOOM is retained here in this awesome else-world feeling version of the franchise. It lacks a bit in enemy variety, but feels unique and is a blast to play in the same way the others in the franchise are. I genuinely love this game. It’s kickass.
