3/5 ★ – Casinopolis's review of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Often seen as the bastard cousin of Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask is an improvement in quite a few areas. More innovative dungeons, a more useful central gimmick and just a better time getting around. The absence of Zelda and Ganondorf is actually quite refreshing, too. It feels cut from the same cloth as OOT, meaning they share many of the same friction points like general vagueness across the board and a clunky item/weapon select system. But Clock Town and its surrounding locales are just more intricate and home to interesting plights. If you want to see out every storyline play out, you will find yourself repeating a lot of the same tasks. But it is worth it, as there are some genuinely timeless moments tucked away deep in the side quests. The time travel system is quite advanced for its time, even if not totally logical.
