4/5 ★ – Chara789's review of Fallout: New Vegas.
I don't see the brilliance of this games story like many, but it's fun. Gunplay isn't too amazing, but the melee is fun.
Also the constant invisible walls are hella annoying
Update: Did a second playthrough. While still not that good, I did like the gunplay more this time around. Also did the DLCs now that Honest Hearts wasn't bugged. Here's my thoughts on them.
Honest Hearts: A perfectly fine DLC, nothing special. None of the quests were all that interesting, but none were bad. Joshua Graham is the only thing of any not in this DLC.
Old World Blues: Complete and utter garbage. Easily the worst DLC. I can enjoy very long conversations, as the next 2 DLC show, but God the beginning talk with the Think Tanks was unbearable. Just arguing without anything interesting. The three tests suck. Stealth is annoying when you haven't put any points into sneak, which is something they should've thought about. Getting the Antenna literally requires to fight through one building. That's it. And the school house was so annoying. The announcer ruined it. Mobius was so uninteresting, killing the Think Tanks was boring, and your brain gaining a personality was so unbelievably dumb.
Dead Money: Pretty good. The holograms in the casino were the bane of my existence, and I hate the radios and speakers causing your collar to explode, but otherwise this DLC is good. Dean Domino, Christine, and Dog/God were all very interesting and I liked them. And the overall story and idea of letting go was nice too.
Lonesome Road: Fuck the Tunnelers. Otherwise, good DLC. Ulysses was cool, the story was interesting, and the challenge was (mostly) appreciated. Also it lets you nuke the Legion, which is nice.
