3/5 ★ – CheapJelly's review of Moonlighter.

This feels like a very high quality proof of concept. It’s a very pretty game that controls well, but it feels lacking in other areas - both the dungeon/combat and shop aspects of the game are fun but nothing you haven’t already seen before. While it doesn’t necessarily mix things up in either the dungeon crawler or simulator genres, the game is fun and well suited to a quick pick up and play session that you get with something like the switch or a steam deck. There’s a lot of potential here and I’m excited to see how the team have added to and expanded concept in the upcoming sequel!! 🧌💰
