Foregone tries to do too much and doesn't really hit anything on the head other than the movement. It's fluid and fast and once I realized the combat was boring, I had way more fun seeing how fast I could beat this. The story didn't hook me, the loot system is generic and limited, upgrades feel meaningless, but hey! that pixel art sure is pretty. I wouldn't recommend this game unless you really loved dead cells and want something similar but worse.
