5/5 ★ – DarrensTrashBag's review of BioShock Infinite.

Bioshock Infinite contains the best assistant mechanic in any video game, enjoyable ziplining mechanics, fantastic setting and visuals, and a great story with an iconic ending. There are a lot of nitpicks like how it isn't totally obvious when an autosave happens so you lose progress when you quit out, or the several instances where I get stuck on objects and had to restart to my last checkpoint. I also wish that there were a few more enemies during combat sessions, I just one-tap seven guys with a pistol and then that is it. This is how most of the combat encounters went down. Easy but fun. The DLC, Burial at Sea, has a phenomenal story but with huge gameplay hurdles like the lack of ammo or the whole second part being a stealth mission against fifteen people. I do highly recommend it though. Overall I do not think the writer ever topped the first game, Infinite is close but some dialogue does not really age well as it feels like marvel dialogue. However this is an iconic series that should be played on the original versions since the 2020 "remasters" is 20x more buggy and can ruin some scenes because of it. Series is a 87/100 while this game is a: 95/100
