4/5 ★ – DarrensTrashBag's review of The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures.
This game really did excel in world building, new mechanics, and the score. The most unfortunate thing is that the cases are not as grand as the other games. The plot is unfinished, with tons of questions still unanswered that I hope are answered in the sequel. Some bits of the cases are quite obvious, but they still spend twenty minutes trying to figure it out. An example is in the first case when we are presented with one out of two steaks, one of which we know has blood on it. The steak that we are given does not have blood on it, so it is obvious that the blood is on the second steak. However, we have to prove that it is on the other plate, rather than having the plate shown to the court to prove it. None of the critical moments of the trials were surprising, except for the third case. The final case was probably the weakest in the series (other than Investigations 1). Sholmes, Kazuma, Susato, Gina, and Hosonaga are some of my favorite characters. My opinion of this game may change entirely when I play the sequel, but for now. 75/100
