5/5 ★ – DarthMaster52's review of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.
Oh man. WHAT a game. This game blew me away in so many ways. It's an enjoyable story game. That's really all is. There's so many tear shed moments in this game. This game really took me on a trip through the Marvel Cosmos. This game knows it's a comic book game, so they embrace every aspect of the Galaxy. It's so colorful and gorgeous at parts. It feels like James Gunn was just allowed to do whatever he want, however he's not tied to this game and honestly, all the better for it. This game really shows you this team is a family. They're there for each other whenever they are broken down. The scene with drax in the promise, or gamora telling the team she loves them, or quill convincing Nikki, all almost brought a tear to my eye. Drax and Gamora are officially my favorite Guardians because of this game. They are phenomenal. It's genuinely a perfect game but I think it's just me being greedy for wanting more. The ending felt iffy to me but it was so unexpected I love it for that. Sometimes I debate whether to remove half a star but I have Never had much fun playing this game.Square Enix really learned it's lessons from avengers for actually making unlockable skins. The gameplay is so good. Sure on the surface it seems it's just run and shoot but the way you can mix and match is so amazing. The commands you give to guardians really makes you feel like a leader. IT'S SO GOOD. The different abilities you unlock, the platforming it's awesome. Not every game needs an open world and this game showed me that. However give me a flarking DLC square Enix. Last thing I want to say
Cosmos the best boy
Overall Score 10/10
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is a perfect linear story game with so much heart and soul with gameplay making you perfectly feel like a team leader, meanwhile embracing the Marvel Cosmos fully
