4/5 ★ – Decssmith's review of Dead Space 2.

Huge improvement from the first, the gameplay was even better, all the annoying ways to do something had been changed. Instead of a GPS type map, it was just an arrow on the floor. The enemies were a lot tougher to kill, there was a lot of new enemies introduced too. The jump scares were predictable but this game was really action packed to make up for it. It felt much more like an action game than a horror (think of the difference in Alien and Aliens) the chapters were also a lot shorter so I ran my way through this game. I do prefer the atmosphere of the first game but this game was far less repetitive, more challenging and just more fun to play. The final boss battle was very annoying but other than that, great game.
