3/5 ★ – Denmother's review of Six Days in Fallujah.

From the moment this game resumed development I was following it and watching for updates and once it finally came out I was excited, but then I played it… I can’t give them too much flak because it seems to be the norm for games to release in pretty buggy and broken states nowadays and since its release they have done a fair amount to fix the ongoing issues. I have faith they’ll fix the majority of the problems. My issue was that it ran super poorly, had nonexistent control settings and the AI teammates were nearly nonfunctional. It felt like I was playing the game that was initially announced back in 2009. But as for the positives, the procedural generation was pretty tight. The feel is also pretty unique. It’s similar to Ready or Not but still a little different. It has a ton of little details that make it stand out from any similar games. The setting of it is also something you won’t find anywhere else right now. No other game has pushed the envelope so far as to cover the Iraq war with such gruesome accuracy like this and I have respect for that. Few games cover any real war with such realism and accuracy in fact. So I don’t think it’s a bad game at all, it’s just currently still in a bad state.
