3/5 ★ – Diluted_Thought's review of Cel Damage HD.
Back in the early 2000's I walked into the mall FYE looking for whatever when I get to the Gamecube section of games and see this game staring at me. The cover looked fun and during that era, these interesting takes on graphics and especially cel shading was a big deal to me. Plus I was still pretty high on Twisted Metal, so this game being a sort of Cartoony spin on the genre was intriguing. I never bought it due to the fact that it never came down in price for some reason. Weird considering it didn't sell well.
Anyway, fast forward to 2016 or so and, much like "Strangers Wrath", this title was available on my PS Vita. I had nostalgia for this game despite never playing due to how often I'd seen that damn box art. But when I finally got into it I could definitely feel its age. This normally doesn't deter me thought and I did find some fun in it regardless. My main was Fowl Mouth by the way. I like the little cartoon sequences between certain levels despite how brief they were. But it was a great throw back to a great generation of games that I absolutely adore. I will admit though, I do regret not playing this game back then because I think I would have remembered this game far more fondly. I did finish it with a few racers but ultimately it stopped being fun for me after the initial run.
