3.5/5 ★ – Diluted_Thought's review of Cosmic Star Heroine.

Many of todays developers try their best to make their version of "Chrono Tigger" or rather create games inspired by "Crono Trigger" and its always a hit or miss. "Cosmic Star Heroine" is the closest to do it. While not nearly as engaging or charming as "CT" it still has its own charm, its own voice and it's own ideas. The combat was fun, the characters you can add to your party were also mostly enjoyable and there was awesome side missions and optional bosses in this game that left me impressed with the work these guys did. Weather that was call back level to "Resident Evil", the Sarlac pit from "Star Wars", the legendary skeleton warrior (who shows up from time to time in different RPGs) and of course an optional fight with Cthulhu! Seriously there's a lot more hiding in the game than I can remember. But I will say, that at some point you will have to grind to get your party members up because progression in this game isn't great. But I was able to find a great exploit for an attack that deals some major damage and a great way to cut down those super tough bosses. While the game was good it really did need more work some areas. Still an interesting take and one that I enjoyed to its credits.
