4/5 ★ – Diluted_Thought's review of Crysis 2.

This generation really was the generation of First Person Shooters and Crysis was definitely one of the best in the genre. But I started on Crysis 2 and delighted every moment I had with it. Upgrading the suit and using all those great features was delightful and really allowed me to change up strategies if something wasn't quite working for me. But this game could get pretty challenging at times and I died quite a bit. Still, the game looked amazing and it was fast paced as well. I think this was one of the few games my wife actually watched me play considering she's not into video games. That made for some nice moments. (Update 2023) Coming back to this game a few years later I found that it still holds up well and great to play while I look for new heavy music that compliments this game. I found that playing on "Easy" mode is actually a lot more fun than I would have expected and made this game even more enjoyable seeing as I didn't have to deal with countless deaths slowing my progress. I also liked how the guns you find got a little better as you progressed through the story. I like my original load out for a # of levels but eventually changed it up to try new and better weapons. I also forgot this game gave you the option of saving multiple rockets which really came in handy in a jam. I'm having a good time stalking my enemies in my cloak and taking them out Predator style with an up close and personal approach. I'm almost done with my playthrough and might start up "Crysis 3" after and while I may come back to this game again it maybe a few more years.
