4/5 ★ – Diluted_Thought's review of Def Jam Vendetta.
By this generation Wrestling games were no longer something I was looking to play, and quite frankly they were getting a bit boring, but then comess along Def Jam Vendetta and the ability to play as and fight against my favorite Def Jam artists of the time. Method Man, Redman, DMX, Ludacris and so many more made up ther roster and as a kid who had already fallen in love with Hip Hop, well, I ate this shit right up. It was fully voice acted so of course it was awsome. But as time would reveal, as much as i enjoyed the idea of this game, i couldn't get with the single player campaign because the 4 characters they had to choose from all looked like some real out of place, budget bad asses with terrible clothing styles. Seriously, I hated every one of them, but i had to choose one and I can't really remember which dude I went with. This blew so hard, since I had to go through the entire game fighting as this lame ass character with the only good thing being the dope ass beats bumping in the background. While Vendetta was the start of something cool, its sequel was really where it was at.
