3.5/5 ★ – Diluted_Thought's review of Luigi's Mansion 3.

When I first popped in Luigi's Mansion on my Gamecube back in high school I was awed by the graphic and what that system was capable of. Traversing the halls of Luigi's new mansion was so much fun and I absolutely kicked myself for selling that game when I was a teenager. This time is different, this time LM3 sits securely in my Switch collection and its not going anywhere. Only by now graphics were not quite as thrilling as they were back in my youth. This time I wasn't looking to play a graphically impressive game, but a game that would remind my why I loved playing Nintendo games in the first place. The utter charm of pushing Luigi forward this a brand new haunted hotel was just delightful. There was plenty of puzzles to solve, doors to open, ghosts to capture and Gooigi. Sucking up everything with the polter-gust 3000 still maintained that same addicting feeling I had originally got in the first game. Hell, I even vacuumed all the dirt in the Egyptian level. Because money can be hiding anywhere! Tons of bosses made for great encounters but the fights themselves sometimes felt a bit lacking. The soundtrack of course was great. Lots of great tunes and themes this time and I was surprised at how much music was actually in this game. Thinking about it now, I found all the items and chests in this game so I totally 100% it on my first go which I was happy about. This game does come with one big flaw though. It's pretty slow. Luigi isn't exactly as spry as his brother (which becomes somewhat of a joke later in the game). But this game is created for you to take time in this hotel and discover all the wonderful things hidden in the details and backgrounds, like a submarine hidden under the sewers. So much to find and so many mysteries to solve. Solid game.
