4/5 ★ – Diluted_Thought's review of Resident Evil 6.
Story, settings, major action set pieces, awesome bosses, a Nemesis type monster, a whose who cast from the entire franchise and new antagonists made this game a major deal for me. It never slowed down, the action just kept coming and all of a sudden the world of Resident Evil got larger and the viruses were now everywhere. Fans kept saying "this isn't a survival horror experience anymore! This is an action game!" and you know what? That's fine. This game had some memorable sequences that find our heroes ever close to death and still coming out strong. As we'd heard in pervious games Albert Wesker was a clone and having have his "son" / clone Jake Muller was a nice addition. I was also surprised to see Sherry Berkin as well who up to this point was only featured in RE2 some 14 years prior. A lot happening in this game and I was very happy for it. I will say that, for as much as I enjoyed this game, the formula was getting a little stale by this point and was ready for a new look. Fortunately, this game had everything I wanted and delivered on being the biggest game in the franchise. A strong note to end on and one that would see the franchise head in different directions from then on. Dope.
