2.5/5 ★ – Dima064's review of Marvel's Spider-Man: Silver Lining.
Silver Lining feels rushed... I don't know if it's a hot-take but everything just screams rushed here. The plot, the pacing, yet even more enemy spam... The chase sequences were cool, sure... but everything else... it's quite literally meh... I don't know where to start. What about all the characters that were important in the previous chapters? One of them just swoops right in and leaves immediately. The other is nowhere to be seen, even if we count extra missions. Even the main villain was teased to be even more threatening but he just appears twice and that's it. Not even the ending felt rewarding, just "Oh, we beat him? Okay, whatever." All this build-up before was pretty-much for nothing. My least favorite DLC that's for sure. Even extra content was not thought through. Screwball challenges became so easy I even felt kind of insulted. The enemy bases were very annoying and unfair due to the bonus objectives. At least we were given the chance to beat up Sable, thanks for that. But the boss was fine too. Still, very lackluster DLC to end the story and a huge disappointment...
Overall package "The City That Never Sleeps" didn't feel as special as the base game. That's very apparent, considering that each DLC was released each month after the other. What a shame.
