5/5 ★ – DrRDizzle's review of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Sure, it's a tad on the janky side in terms of moment to moment gameplay, and there is an argument to be made that the combat system could do with tightening up, but if you're looking for rock solid story-telling the likes of which is rarely if ever seen in this medium then you really can't go wrong with THE WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT. It's that which kept me coming back to this game session after session, travelling around this richly detailed world and consistently being blown away by just how much care each and every single quest - from the largest of main story quests to the smallest of easily missable side quests - has received in terms of character, plot, theme and tone. The core cast of characters are amongst the most interesting and truly three-dimensional I've ever seen in a video game; the choices you get to make range from world altering to merely personal, and yet all feel genuinely significant; and, of course, Gwent is one of the best side-features to be put in a video game ever. If you haven't played THE WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT then I can't recommend it enough - but try to play it soon. In a few years that jank I mentioned earlier might not be as easily tolerable, and I'd hate for people to bounce off this game mechanically when narratively it has so much to offer.
