3/5 ★ – Dragonpharaoh's review of Skater XL.

Look, I wanted Skater XL on console arguably more than most people. I was so intrigued with this game and its PC community and don't get me wrong, the core game is amazing. Without a doubt, the controls to this game are the GREATEST controls a skateboarding game has ever had. No canned animations, just free formed flicking with both your joysticks, controlling either foot of your character. However, with about (taking a guess here) 25 hours of play time in this game I can say- it lacks a lot. It lacks a lot of customization options, levels, more music, it just lacks a lot. It is without a doubt an unfinished game. Don't get me wrong I adore it, and I support it to the fullest but we all need more. I type this as I sit here cursing Easy Day Studios because there has been no road map, one bug-fix update since the launch two months ago, and no certain words on what is to come in the future. Only, "We are exploring the idea of that!" to every feature that someone asks about. I hope it wasn't a cash grab, but the lack of support scares me. I hope one day I can change this score to a five. I have had so much fun playing this game, it just leaves you wanting more. Don't let me down Easy Day, give us a damn update.
