3/5 ★ – Durza44's review of Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey.

While one of the most interesting takes on the survival genre that I have ever played, this game struggles to keep you involved due to its awkward controls and challenging gameplay loop. Though I enjoyed the exploration and evolution of my ape tribe, I found is difficult to progress at times which led to a frustration that I eventually found too much to overcome. I'd say it is worth a try on sale as it has some fascinating mechanics that are worthy of recognition but expect to struggle and possible abandon as I sadly did.
