3.5/5 ★ – ENSeventea's review of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel.

In my opinion, this is the weakest entry in the Trails series thus far. I understand it has to do a lot of establishing. Which I 100% appreciate - but until about Chapter 4 or so. I felt like it was a very go to point A and do some missions. With very little story plot progression. The group took awhile for me to get use to as well. It took quite awhile for me to get into the groove of seeing Class 7 working together. I did however, really like the dynamic between certain people. And seeing everyone's home life and dilemmas were nice. Quest continue to be nice and varied and hearing bits and pieces about what was happening in Crossbell was really neat. Regarding QoL stuff. My belief is this game was made before the revamps Zero/Ao got. Which means things like auto text and toggling fast forward weren't a thing which was still pretty annoying. Overall a good game. I enjoyed myself. And seeing where it ends, its clearly one half of a larger story (much like what Sky1 and SC did). We'll see how CS2 goes. I am still very much enjoying myself. (Sara is also the best girl)
