EikichiJr's review of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

One of the most innovative and more bold Pokémon games to have come out since its conception. I absolutely enjoyed every minute I out into this even the parts that I felt, “damn I’ve gotta do this for a star rank. Oh well” and I powered through forgetting my purpose about ten minutes in. This was so refreshing especially since I never anticipated it or pre ordered this it just popped on my lap. Now the bad of it all. It’s one of the most lazy cuts for an open world game I’ve seen. The “lush” environments are so incredibly held back by this console and the company gamefreak who haven’t cared really about Pokémon since sun and moon? Maybe. The 2 frames per second seeing Pokémon in the distance really felt like a slap in the face and the draw distance of trees and plants? Yuck. Handicapped by its creator and parent company this game could have gone so much farther with a team that actually cared about it vs letting them explore with a tightly wound leash. Also who balanced this game? Why am I getting one shot by a Pokémon 20 levels below me and why am I not one shotting Pokémon 30 levels below me?? It’s nuts. There’s no abilities which is whatever, but for all the good that’s front facing this great experience it’s bogged down by so much in the background. Regardless you should still give this game a chance and enjoy it for what it is and what it could mean for the future. Excitedly yours, EikichiJr
