3/5 ★ – ElementaryGaming's review of Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare.

Has a ton of fun ideas. Revisiting characters from the main game in an alternate timeline, and seeing the world now destroyed by zombies, is pretty entertaining. The highlight of it all was killing Sasquatches and finding a mythical horse. But unfortunately, fighting the zombies just felt too repetitive. They're all dispatched in the same way, which is by shooting them in the head. Shooting them in their body was pretty much just a waste of ammo, because a headshot is an insta-kill. You also have near-unlimited slow-mo, so most of the combat is just slow-mo headshotting every zombie. This repetitive combat ultimately dragged down the experience for me. It's thankfully not too long. I give it recognition for the sheer creativity and effort put into crafting this world just for DLC, but it didn't live up to the high bar set by the main game for me.
