3/5 ★ – Empyrean's review of Dredge - The Pale Reach.

As someone who thought the base game was one of last years most pleasant surprises, and also someone that loves snow/ice areas in games, I sadly found this disappointing. Whilst the main initial objective of traversing the area to find the source of a mysterious light is engaging, doing said traversal is tedious and the payoff isn’t worth it. There’s also only one thing worth taking back into the base game and it’s basically useless by the endgame. It’s hard to grumble about a cheap DLC that’s clearly meant to be played early into a new game, and more Dredge isn’t a bad thing, but I definitely came away wanting.
