3/5 ★ – Empyrean's review of Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Operation Resurrection.

Not only is the PS2 port of Return to Castle Wolfenstein an early 00s console FPS, one of the worst aged type of video game, it’s also the worst playing version. Whilst RtCW is technically an improvement in almost every way over Wolf3D, I rarely had fun. The interesting Nazi occult levels are only the bookends, and most of the game is just your standard WWII PS2 shooter. I imagine I would’ve had a better time had I played the PC version, and actually be able to aim, but I don’t care enough to try.
