Shadow Dancer, the second entry in the Shinobi franchise, doesn’t innovate much over its arcade predecessor but rather refines it. It’s better in basically every way, except this time you get a ninja dog! Also magic. It’s a shame it didn’t do more to compete with Ninja Gaiden, who was busy trailblazing on the NES, but it’s still a fun time.
