5/5 ★ – Fanan92's review of Little Kitty, Big City.

- Time played: about 6h 5m. - played on pc with an Xbox one controller. - developed and published by Double Dagger Studio The way I can describe this game is that it is a small open-world cat game where the cat is being a menace and cause so much destruction, and that is more than enough not only for me but also for everyone else to buy the game when it was just been released, but this paragraph is not enough, I will wright a full review of this game because it is a game where you play as black cat, and I imagine my black cat does the same things when he goes outside the house. The story of this game starts with our little cat sleeping in front of the apartment window outside, when all of the sudden they fell off from it and found themselves in the garbage bin, so the little kitty sets out on an adventure to go back home. The story in the introduction is very short and simple and it made me very happy as though I was watching a cartoon and I found it to be very funny and adorable. I also find that the interactions and the conversations between the cat and the other animals in the city to be very cute as well. The game has a main quest and a lot of side quests and a lot of them were fun to do, there are also a lot of things to collect, and one of them are hats for your cat that you can also make them wear, and that was my favorite part. In the game you will encounter a lot of animal friends that you can talk to, and they will give you quests, and in these quests there are different types of things to do, like fetch quests, finding someone or something, doing some puzzles and so on. Some of these quests were easy, but for some of them I had to rely on a guide, and the same goes for the quests that are not connected to the animal characters. I personally don’t mind if the main quest is easy but some of the side ones are hard, because this game design makes the game accessible for people who just want to relax and take it easy, and provide an extra challenge for those who are looking for it. I did not do everything in this game but I was close to completing it, and I can see myself going back to the game in the future to do some extra stuff or to replay it because it is so fun to finish because the game is very fun and short, and that’s why I love short games because you can replay them a couple of times without feeling board or overwhelmed. Something else I like about the game is the way you make your cat jump, and you do it by pressing and holding (A) on the Xbox controller and then deciding where exactly you want to land with the help of a marker, and then you release the (A) button. This makes platforming very precise and accurate, and I found myself not making a lot of mistakes following this method, the problem is that trying to jump naturally is not accurate, so you will have to rely on this method to make precise jumps. I personally don’t mind that, but some people will so that is something to note. Graphicly the game looks very beautiful, it is cartoony and cute, and I also love the color palette, it is very colorful and pastel, and I never thought that I would love pastel colors one day. The music in this game is relaxing, it is basically jazz, and I feel that it makes a good balance with all the ruckus the cat is making. This game is a small open-world game where you play as a cat that wreak havoc and destruction on a small city. Just go play it.
