1.5/5 ★ – FarnySeals's review of Silent Hill: The Short Message.
This is the game equivalent of a GCSE photography project in terms of depth. It’s at its best when it’s dealing with the main character’s personal lives, and at its worst when it’s making commentary on social media which is just sickeningly cringe. I’m not really a fan of walking simulators, for lack of a better term, so I found the gameplay and chase segments to be painfully shallow. I like the setting, the main monster, and the soundtrack, but that’s all the game has going for it as these things aren’t utilised too well. It’s been a rocky start to Konami’s return to Silent Hill thus far.
