5/5 ★ – Fokathepingvin's review of Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eye.

Different from the main game, but it has the same sauce!! Originally I wasn't a big fan of it, it seemed much more like a really hard puzzle game than the mostly pure exploration of the main game (this is true), but once it clicks oh boy it clicks. This is also a lot scarier than the main game and I just loved that so much. Makes it very distinct. Sometimes I felt myself tearing up from how scared I was. The puzzles were so fun to figure out (especially the final one), there were so many satisfying a-ha moments!  The story is just a great addition to the already beautiful narrative. It takes a while to fully understand, but it’s just the same stuff in it that makes Outer Wilds so great. I am sad there is no more Outer Wilds, but I suppose part of the game is about letting go. I can’t wait to see what these guys make next.
