3.5/5 ★ – FoofDeckman's review of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP.

This game is great, or well, everything from the original is. RePOP is incredibly buggy, unpolished and downright broken at points, but it still doesn't manage to hurt the fun of already fantastic game. Lollipop Chainsaw takes elements from games like Bayonetta or Devil May Cry and combines it with over the type zombie killing. The main draw for me is this that this game was written by James Gunn, specifically James Gunn during his edgy era before his Guardians of the Galaxy fame, and it definitely feels like it. This game genuinely made me laugh out loud at multiple points as its humor is definitely one of the strongest aspects, along with its flashy combat systems. My biggest complaint is that it does somewhat overstay it's welcome, If you've played the first hour you've already experienced what the next 5 hours have to offer. It doesn't do a ton to innovate on itself besides introducing some minor additions to combat like a chainsaw gun or a dash attack. Overall this is a great game, but I'd wait a bit to pick up as in its current state is really unpolished.
