1.5/5 ★ – FoofDeckman's review of Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour.

Welcome Tour felt more like a really dull museum that you've spent way too long in. This is not a game, as Welcome Tour likes to remind you every chance it gets. This is in fact a tech demo with a few mini games scattered here and there. It's one of those things I guess I should have known before picking up Welcome Tour that I didn't. Welcome Tour should have been this little game packaged with the switch 2 itself, instead I will judge this like the $10 tech demo it is. To start with the positives, some of the mini games are genuinely fun, there's this UFO mini-game that uses the mouse functionality on the joy cons that I felt was creative. There's also speed golf and a few others that my fiance and I had fun going through. Unfortunately, most of your experience playing this game will be focused on reading text prompts and taking quizzes of said text prompts. I'll honestly say that these were quite fun at first, they gave interesting little tid bits that were genuinely informative, but these last hours and there's what feels like hundreds of them. If there's someone out there that wants to pay $10 to learn about everything the switch 2 has hardware wise you'll probably get more out of this than I did. With that being said, even though I paid $10 for this, there's certain sections I literally can't complete fully because of the lack of specific accessories like the Camera or the new Pro Controller. That's right, unless you own the Camera or the new pro controller, you cannot 100% complete this game. While I spent around 10 hours on this thing (somehow) I can't say it's worth spending $10 unless you're a very specific person that loves to learn about everything Switch 2 related no matter what it is. I am not one of those people and I can't see many others being that person either.
