4/5 ★ – FoofDeckman's review of Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves.
Sly 3 marks the end of the trilogy of Sly Cooper games, or at least till Thieves in Time, but that’s a different story. This is the true ending for me with this series, as everything established from the previous games is wrapped into a pretty bow that left me satisfied. From a game perspective it’s a very standard sequel as it looks and plays almost identically to Sly 2, with large levels and sub missions in between. Although there isn’t as much to do in each level in Sly 2, I think the level design of the missions themselves mostly out way this due to their extended duration compared to the last game. Between the music, art direction and completely unique gameplay that switches up entirely mission to mission, Sly 3 is a must play PS2 game. The entire Sly trilogy is one of the best trilogies in gaming, and the fact that I have to play it with the worst input lag through PlayStation’s streaming service is a crime in of itself. I will be writing Sony a letter every single day till it gets ported to PS5, but until then I highly recommend you check out this trilogy, as they are all worth your time, just maybe seek out an emulator.
