5/5 ★ – Gcordeirot's review of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

They finally made the changes and improvements that this franchise has long needed. Even better, all the changes work really well and make the game look amazing. Best Pokemon ever made. The new catching system is fun and dynamic. It's awesome to see all the pokémons and sneak on them. The fact that the Pokémons can attack and kill you is very fun too, so you have to pay attention and dodge this. There is a lot of different mounts to use in land, sea and sky. Riding pokémons > riding bikes. The crafting is really cool too. The changes in the battle, both it working without changing the map and the agile and strong mode of the blows are amazing. I missed having more battles against trainers and also gyms, but you can understand from the context of the game and the story why this didn't happen. They changed the prepation to face each different gym with a type for them to a game more focused on the Pokedex and completing it. This is the biggest change for me. Completing it all may sound hard and boring but they put some little mission in each pokémon, so there is a lot to do and different stuff too, like capturing, capturing without beeing seem, defeating with a type of move, using some move with it, etc. A good point is that you don't need to do all these pokedex missions to complete it, you need to fill 10 points and you can do the ones you want more. The story and development of this world is incredible. You start in a world where people don't live along with Pokémons and over the course of history this changes and you notice it in cities too, as the frequency of pokemons being with the citizens grows, and this is very cool. In the story there is some different boss fights too, that you fight as the Trainer and not the Pokemon alone, and strange as it may seem, it works well enough. There is a lot of side missions, like really a lot. They vary in catching a Pokemon, completing the pokedex entry for it, catching some itens, showing the differences of two pokemons to someons, give pokemons to people who need it, etc. It's with this missions that you understand and see the world better. One nice detail is that, because they didn't have the technology to put Pokemons in Boxes in the PCs, they put them in little Pastures in the city, so you can pass by them and see the Pokemons you captured walking around. The dynamics of having multiple areas Instead of a whole connected world it works well and even has a context in the story. The areas are beautiful, different and well built, it's nice to see the differences and explore them.
