5/5 ★ – Greggyworld15's review of Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness.

On a more serious note than my previous post this was one of the two games that defined me and my childhood. I don't know where I would be without this. begging my mom with my sibling to constantly rent this from Blockbuster and playing it the instant we got home will always be a core memory for me. We played through this game 4 times. everything about it just felt unique to me as a child. Starts out with an Eve, the way you traveled from city to city, the different trainers, the shadow, pokemon, getting the ability to catch other trainers' Pokemon, and the music. Fighting a mad scientist in a Mecha Groudon or jamming out with Miror B and his Ludicolo was just the collect things to me. I can't even forget about Shadow Lugia either. I never thought I would fall in love with a design so much and all it was just a recolor. For every shadow Pokemon, we made it a mission to catch and purify it. there's a very strong chance that this game doesn't hold up to the once great childhood experience that I knew it to be and that's ok. no matter what I think the nostalgia that I have for this game will always keep it high up in my list.
